The regular season of the Ontario Australian Football League (OAFL) started this past weekend. Round 1 kicked off with a rematch of last year's Grand Final between the Toronto Downtown Dingos and Toronto Eagles. The Dingos sneeked out with another close win, this time by a mere three points.
Four of the five matches on the weekend were close tilts. This bodes well for the competitiveness we'll see in the league this year. A few of the clubs that missed the playoffs last year have beefed up their rosters and hope to make a run for the premiership.
Teams have the long weekend off before resuming with Round 2 on May 28th. Follow the season at www.ontariofooty.com.
