The British Columbia Australian Football Association is hosting the West Coast Challenge this weekend in Vancouver in association with AFL Canada.
Four clubs have entered the event, three from western Canada and one interloper from the United States. The four clubs are the BCAFA's Vancouver Cougars and Burnaby Eagles, Calgary Kangaroos from Alberta and Seattle Grizzlies. AFL Canada clubs Victoria Lions, Calgary Bears and Red Deer Magpies opted not to compete this weekend.
The tournament will be played this Saturday at Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver, with teams playing shorter games than the standard 80 minutes.
