AFL Canada Coaches Education Program:
AFL Canada is dedicated to ensuring all AFL Canada members across the country, from junior to senior, have access to the highest quality coaching available ensuring proper development, and safe sport.
AFL Canada’s coach education program is designed to be a professional development program for Australian Football coaches across Canada.

Online Foundation Course
AFL Canada, in partnership with Coach AFL, provides volunteer coaches with access to the online Foundation Coach course, free of charge.

Become an Accredited AFL Canada Coach
To become an accredited AFL Canada Coach, candidates must be registered in the Coaches Program and provide the following certifications:
- AFL Level 1 Coaching Course
- Coach Association of Canada (CAC) Safe Sport Training
- RCMP Volunteers background check.
All requirements to register for the program are free of charge from the supplier.
What You Get
All accredited coaches across Canada will be provided with:

- Regular development opportunities including
- Coaching sessions
- Access to AFL Canada’s high-performance coaching team.
Foundation Coach Junior: For individuals coaching at the Active Start, FUNdamentals, and Learn to Train stages.
Foundation Coach Youth: For individuals coaching at the Train to Train stage
Foundation Coach Senior (or AFL Youth/Senior or Level 2): For individuals coaching at the Train to Compete or Train to Win stages
AFL Coach Senior (Level 3): For individuals coaching at the Ultimate Performance stage
