OTTAWA June 3, 2026 – Canadian footy fans will get a better view of the action in 2026. AFL Canada is excited to announce Cooper Equipment Rentals as Official Supporter Sponsor for the 2026 season, with the company providing taller scissor lifts for this year’s major tournaments that deliver improved camera angles and a higher-quality broadcast experience for viewers watching live and on-demand.

As a part of the sponsorship, Cooper Equipment Rentals will provide scissor lifts for the 2026 49th Parallel Cup in Kelowna, British Columbia and the 2026 AFL Canada Club Championships in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The 32’ scissor lifts are higher than those used in previous years, further enhancing the quality of the coverage and providing viewers with an improved camera angle to better see the action anywhere on the field. All matches will be streamed live and on-demand on the AFL Canada YouTube page.
Australian Rules Football, or footy, is played on an oval field that is one of the largest playing surfaces in professional sport. Some grounds are 160 metres long and 135 metres wide, making the elevated camera positions especially valuable for capturing the full flow of play.
