The 49th Parallel Cup scheduled for this Saturday at Colonel Samuel Smith Park is already scheduled to be a full day of Footy action!

To add to the jampacked day of action, AFL Canada Head Umpire Derek Govier will be hosting an Open Education Session for current umpires, prospective umps or anyone interested in learning more about the game.
Topics on the agenda will include:
- Pathway to becoming a registered AFL Canada umpire.
- Umpiring Basics (rules/phrasing/positioning/etc)
- Information on an Umpires perspective for players
This session isnt just for Umpires, these sessions have been run in Halifax and Ottawa with great response from players in improving their knowledge around Footy!
