The Northern Lights Coaches and Staff have announced their 28-person squad for the 2024 Transatlantic Cup.
The Lights will take on countries from across North America, South America and Europe in August of this year in a bid to be crowned Transatlantic Cup Champions!
The Northern Lights most recently took the field in August of 2023, in the 49th Parallel Cup. The Lights took on the USA in Racine, Wisconsin, coming away victorious in a tightly contested match on the day.
Prior to the enforced break due to COVID-19, the Northern Lights had maintained a high level of International Performance, being crowned International Cup champions in 2014, and twice runner-up in 2011 and 2017.
The strength and continual development of Footy in Canada is demonstrated with 10 clubs and 5 provincial leagues represented in the selections.
AFL Canada would like to take the time to thank the sponsors of the Lights in 2024 for their support. Thanks to True Blue Swim School, EMM Consulting, Macquarie Energy Limited, Payable Apps and Hemingway’s Bar for making participation in international events possible.
Congratulations and good luck to all players selected below.
