Ottawa, Ontario – May 25, 2026 – AFL Canada is excited to announce that Payable Apps will return as the Official Streaming Sponsor of the 2026 49th Parallel Cup and the 2026 AFL Canada Club Championships.
Their support means that footy fans will be able to watch every match from both tournaments live and on-demand on the AFL Canada YouTube page.
“The audience for Canadian footy continues to grow, with thousands of viewers tuning into the live broadcasts and more than a million more viewing clips shared on social media,” said Greg Bridges, Executive Director of AFL Canada. “We’re thrilled to continue our relationship with Payable Apps to showcase Canadian footy talent to fans around the world.”
Payable Apps returns to the Canadian footy scene after supporting the 2024 AFL Transatlantic Cup and the 2025 AFL Canada Men’s Club Championships. Their ongoing sponsorship has allowed AFL Canada to live stream more matches and promote the game to more players.
“It’s been awesome to see how much footy has grown since we first got involved in 2024,” said Betsy Berger, Co-Founder of Payable Apps. “We love supporting footy from the grassroots level all the way up to the National High Performance teams, and we can’t wait to watch all of the action again this year!”
The 2026 49th Parallel Cup will be held in Kelowna, British Columbia on August 29th and will feature the Men’s and Women’s National Teams from Canada and the United States, as well as development teams and local representative sides.
Later in the season, the 2026 AFL Canada Club Championships will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia on October 3rd and 4th, and will bring together the top Men’s and Women’s+ clubs from across Canada.
“Streaming our major tournaments has been a strategic focus for us as we work to grow the game,” said David Smith, Chair of AFL Canada. “The support from Payable Apps means we can continue to offer high-quality, professional broadcasts that feature more camera angles, greater production value, and even more opportunities to watch Canadian footy.”
