Footy in Ontario will be bigger than it ever has been before this summer:
- AFL Ontario, the world’s oldest and largest league, outside of Australia, continues to bounce back strongly from a covid induced hiatus.
- 5+ junior Auskick centres have already kicked off this spring, instilling a love of Footy early in kids across the GTA.
- And to put a cherry on top we now see the introduction of a Summer Recreational AFL 9’s league which promises to make this the biggest summer of footy Toronto has seen!
For the first time, an AFL 9’s league will be run this summer in Toronto, providing a pathway for those curious about the game, to enter the senior AFL Ontario League.
Current AFLO Members as well as non-members will be able to enter co-ed teams in the league which is designed as a soft introduction to the sport, for those who are keen to test it out in a recreational setting, before committing to an AFLO team.
The league will be co-ed, non-contact and held in a downtown location on Wednesdays across the summer.
The league will consist of a 7 week season culminating in a championship round toward the end of August and is designed to be cost-effective with ever-increasing costs of living.
Participants will be able to join in the full season for between $70 and $80 depending on the number of members on your team. There is also discounts for existing AFLO members!
